Also, it was received in pristine condition, and was genuine "UK Stock". This was the first order I had placed with More Computers, and I chose them because their price was the best. I was a little apprehensive, because I had a very bad experience recently when I ordered a "UK Stock" digital compact camera from an online UK dealer, whose price was the best for that particular product, and I ended up with a previously used "Grey Import", which was supplied without any warranty documents, and with a plug/adaptor arrangement which was both unsafe and illegal. More Computers proved to me that it is possible to combine very competitive prices with excellent service. Unfortunately (for More Computers, not for me!), I am a "Mac" (100% satisfied too!), not a "PC", and so there is a limit to the range of their products which are of interest to me, but I will not hesitate to recommend them to those friends and acquaintances of mine who still remain in the "PC" wilderness. I contacted More Computers the following day a Friday. It seemed that there was a slight problem and that for some reason several deliveries had not been despatched. I was aware that there were usually no deliveries on Saturdays but was assured that because the item I ordered was paid for that they would ensure that I received my monitor the following day even though it was a Saturday. Basically the RBS system did not find the data it was expecting in this field and rejected the transaction. When the transaction is resubmitted, after several attempts the system thinks it is a fraudulent transaction and will not accept anything further. When you tried a different browser it sees this as a new 'session' and disregards the previous attempts, hence why your order went through with IE. I know it's no compensation for the time wasted but hopefully this goes some way to explain what happened. Philip 23/05/07 Excellent service from ordering to delivery, I will use your service again. What are the benefits to the customer of the reviews, if any? One of my purchases was a Netgear DG834N from you which failed within 6 days. I attempted to post a review which stated I thought the product was good but a pity it failed after only 6 days. That review never appeared. If only the good comments are allowed to be posted it really undermines the value of the reviews. If my problem with the product was a one off then it wouldn’t have mattered, but if there were a number of similar reviews you would likely purchase something else. I also had a lot of problems trying to return the goods. The problem seemed to be that the emails you say you were sending with a return number on never got through to me, although all your other emails did (an earlier return was not a problem and the return number did get through). It also seemed to be an impossible task for you to just type the return number in one of the emails that were getting through to me. This lead to a lot of confusion, frustration and protracted communications which I’d rather not go through again, so regrettably I have transferred my business elsewhere. This I consider to be a great shame as your service otherwise is excellent and to your credit you were very good (other than with the latter return numbers) when I needed to return two products that I’d incorrectly specified and ordered. Laptopshop is definitely the site to beat. The cashback offer on the Toshiba laptop I purchased was mentioned on both laptopshop and technoworld but not on More. I confirmed the cashback offer on Toshiba's site prior to order with More. I also checked the links recommending your site, the recommendation by "PC PRO" being the most influencial. Up to that point I would have selected laptopshop as the provider even though slightly more expensive. The actual experience of the More site is very good. Everything is just as I would expect. However, I did stumble on the site by accident. I can't remember Googling to the site through a query like "toshiba laptop". I did have reason to contact the help desk (only about electronic invoicing, I might add) and found no difficulty in accessing an agent which is very good news. The actual delivery was prompt and as stated. Positive respones are of course all well and good. I tried to check for experience where a user had a complaint and how it was dealt with. In this respect, of those I could find "More" handled the situation promptly. The recommendation of PC PRO also added weight to this. In summary, More offered the best price for the laptop I wanted, but that wasn't enough to secure the order. The recommendations detailed in "Never used us before?" tipped the balance in More's favour.
